How do BigDrops transmit the data from tank monitoring?

BigDrops uses the internet. It is free, there are no phone charges and it is always available. It will NOT interfere with the customer’s phone or security systems in any way.

How do I see my tank monitored data?

BigDrops is integrated with most back office software vendors. This means you will be looking at the same screens as you do now. The BigDrops data will be presented as actual tank levels along side degree day predicted information. There is no additional hardware or software to install.

What types of fuels will BigDrops work on?

All refined petroleum products including; heating oil, propane, kerosene, diesel, bio-diesel, heavy oils and aviation fuels.

How do the BigDrops sensors work?

The sensor continuously monitors the fuel and temperature level of your tanks and transmits the information hourly to your back office software.

Can I install in any size tank?

BigDrops fuel level sensors can be installed on tanks ranging from 50 gallons to 200,000 gallons.

How do I install the BigDrops Propane Sensors?

Installation takes less than two minutes:

Step 1: Plug sensor into remote ready gauge on tank

Step 2: Place unit on tank. The very strong magnets will hold the unit in place.

How do I install BigDrops Oil Sensors?

Installation takes less than five minutes:

Step 1: Remove plug on spare bung, or remove old float gauge.

Step 2: Screw BigDrop oil sensor in place and tighten with strap wrench.

What do I need to complete an installation?

Each tank that is monitored requires either the propane or fuel sensor to be installed. You do NOT need to install 1 receiver for each sensor. The receivers’ have a range from 1/2 to 3 miles and can handle up to 1000 sensors.
